Important information for all Kansas Youth Soccer Coaching Courses:

  • Courses are subject to cancellation should enrollment not meet the course minimum. Minimums vary but 12 coaches are generally needed per course.
  • All courses are open to any and all coaches in Kansas as well as coaches from other State Associations.  Members of KSYSA/US Youth Soccer receive a discounted MEMBER rate.
  • Coaches interested in registering must complete the ONLINE REGISTRATION and pay online (charge card) at the time of the registration; if paying by CHECK - registration is incomplete (spot in course not guaranteed) until the office receives your check. 
  • Attendance for the ENTIRE course is MANDATORY for course completion and receiving your certificate/license.
  • Coaches should bring a properly inflated soccer ball to each course and should come prepared for both indoor and outdoor activities.
  • If paying by check for the courses - make payable to: Kansas Youth Soccer Association; and mail to 708 S. Rogers Road, Ste. C, Olathe, KS 66062 (Attn: Coaching Education).
  • No testing required for courses listed as "certificate", testing required for courses listed as a "license" (E and D Licenses and higher).
  • There is no pre-requisite to register for the "E" course, although attending the Youth Module (U9/U12) course is highly recommended.
  • All candidates who wish to enroll in the "D" license must have successfully completed the "E" license and have held it for at least 6 months prior to the course.
  • NO WAIVERS FOR THE "D" LICENSE as mandated by US Soccer Federation Coaching Education.  If you believe you can bypass and be waived to a higher license, please visit the US Soccer Coaching website - http://www.ussoccer.com/Coaches/Licenses.aspx 

    National "D" License certification may be waived ONLY under one of the following conditions:

    1. Applicant received the NSCAA National Diploma and has held it for a minimum of 12 months.
    2. Applicant has three (3) years of coaching experience (any level) AND three (3) years playing experience with a Senior National Team or three (3) years of FIFA recognized professional playing experience.
    3. A foreign license of equivalence; to be reviewed by the U.S. Soccer Coaching Department.
