The "D" License is a thirty-four hour course typically held over two full weekends. Additional local scheduling options can be arranged, as required. It is suggested that all competitive KSYSA coaches working in 11-a-side soccer hold at least a "D" License. All coaches of teams participating in the Kansas State Cup in the U-14 age groups and above must hold a minimum of a USSF State "D" License before the opening day of the tournament.

Cognitive, psycho-social and psychomotor developmental theory of each age group is discussed in the classroom sessions and put into practice in the field sessions through the presentation of age appropriate activities. Each Module runs for about 3-6 hours.

The Jr State Championships is open to all teams U11 and U12 who would like to participate in an introductory event to State Cup and President's Cup play. Jr State Champions do not compete at the Regional or National level - but the tournament is a great introduction to this type of high level competition. The President's Cup is open to all teams U13 to U17 who would like to participate in a National tournament series, but do not wish to play in the State Cup Tournament. This is for Level 1-A and Level 2 teams predominately - and does have a Regional Event which will be held at the Overland Park Soccer Complex in late June and a National event which will be held in Sacramento, Ca. Teams who win the State President's Cup title will compete in Region II event.
