2014 PRESIDENT'S CUP

Presidents Cup Rules & Additional Information

Overview

The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a national title.  The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a state to regional to national level of US Youth Soccer. This tournament is different from State Cup, but does provide an important path especially for high school aged groups to regional and national competitions that provide players with important regional and national playing exposure, particularly for those players wishing to play at the college level.

Regional qualifiers will determine the teams competing in the US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup in mid-July and feature boys and girls teams in the Under-13 through Under-17 age groups.

Coaches in the Presidents Cup event are not required to fulfill any licensure certifications but it is highly recommended that they have a "D" license

Coaches are REQUIRED to complete a Concussion Management Course and present a certification of proof of completion at team check in to State Officials.  Coaches should go to the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).  This program is free of charge. The NFHS requires a user to login but allows for tracking of progress and allows users to log in and print their certification should they require a new certificate.
