2012 President’s Cup Rules – Coming in late February
Overview
The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a national title. The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a state to regional to national level of US Youth Soccer. This tournament is different from State Cup, but does provide an important path especially for high school aged groups to regional and national competitions that provide players with important regional and national playing exposure, particularly for those players wishing to play at the college level.
Kansas State President’s Cup will be held for U13 to U17 age groups boys and girls. U14 to U17 age groups who win in their State category will advance to Regional President’s Cup play which will be held in 2012 at the Overland Park Soccer Complex June 14-17th. Region II States competing in Regional play will come from Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Michigan, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio South and Ohio North, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota
Regional qualifiers, known as US Youth Soccer Regional Presidents Cup events, will determine the teams competing in the US Youth Soccer National President Cup, July 11-14, 2012, in Sacramento, Ca. and feature boys and girls teams in the Under-14 through Under-17 age groups.
Kansas State Soccer Association President's Cup will be held this year at the
Sunflower Soccer Complex in Topeka, Kansas the weekend of May 25th to 28th.
In 2011, our first year of State Competition for this Championship Series; three KS teams advanced from Regional Play to the National President's Cup Championship with one team winning the National President’s Cup Title. CLICK HERE TO SEE NATIONAL STANDINGS FROM 2011
Teams coming from out of town MUST stay in one of the approved tournament hotels.
Dates
The Kansas State Youth Soccer President’s Cup will be held in Topeka, KS May 25-27, 2012.
Region II President’s Cup will be held in Overland Park, KS June 14-17, 2012
National President’s Cup will be held in Sacramento, CA July 11-14, 2012
Registration
In House Registration for President's Cup begin Tuesday, February 14th We have three registration periods:
February 14-29th Early Bird Registration (-$25)
March 1 Registration without discount for President’s Cup
March 31-April 8 Late Registration for President's Cup, (+$100)
Hotels
Teams coming from out of town who plan to spend the night are REQUIRED to stay in one of the following Tournament hotels

Registration Fees
All Teams - $600 *check Early Bird Discounts above
Bond Fees - $300
Information on Bond Fees:
Individual team bonds will be $300.00 OR Clubs with 3 or more teams entering President's Cup tournament play may elect to pay a Club Bond of $900 in lieu of the individual Team Bond for all their teams -
o Bond Fees (Club OR Team) are non refundable/forfeited if:
Teams do not check in at the stated check in dates and times
Teams do not show to any game (pool play, semi final or final)
Teams qualify for Region II competition but elect not to go
o Bonds shall be retained by the State office for any team advancing to Regionals to apply toward Regional fees These fees are non refundable. Clubs who use the Club Bond option must pay $300 for any team (over 3 already paid for) advancing to Regional play no later than June 1st at 5pm. ALL BOND FEES are to be paid via team or club check – they will not be collected online.
Rosters
Rosters for all teams competing in the President’s Cup will be frozen on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 5pm
Teams may have up to 22 players on their rosters
No more than 4 Coaches may be listed
Tournament Rosters are to be entered in Got Soccer by Sunday, May 20th.
The tournament roster for any teams advancing to Region II or National play must contain 65% of the original qualifying event team roster plus 1 player, no guest players will be allowed. The number of players listed on the Regional tournament roster must not exceed the number of players listed on the qualifying event roster. Any additional players (adds) may not have participated in the National Championship Series or Midwest Regional League.
Teams may participate in both State Cup and President’s Cup at the State level.

Tournament check in will be held at Tournament Headquarters at the Topeka West Holiday Inn 605 Fairlawn Rd, Topeka, Ks

A copy of an approved USYSA Kansas State Roster
USYSA Player Cards for each player with any previous tournament stickers removed
Notarized Medical Release Forms dated between June of 2011 and June of 2012
