Recreational Soccer

Overview/About Us

Kansas State Youth Soccer Association member recreational leagues are focused primarily on offering youth soccer opportunities in a balanced competitive setting. Recreational soccer is a soccer program that is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on travel or high-level competition. Each player has the opportunity to develop and enhance his or her soccer skills by participating in recreational soccer. Players ages 3 to 18 may be registered with a recreational program underneath KSYSA.

Approximately 33% of Kansas State Youth Soccer Association's registered players participate in member recreational leagues.  The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the sport and develop life skills including a lifelong love of the game. In Recreational Soccer the use of tryouts, invitations, recruiting or any like process to roster players selectively to any team on the basis of talent or ability is permitted.
