2013 US Youth Soccer Female Young Referee of the Year - National Winner – Lauren Stalcup, Overland Park, KS
Lauren Stalcup has become a reliable referee who has worked at several State Cups and recently represented Kansas at a US Youth Soccer ODP Region II camp. She’s pursuing a Grade 7 certificate and has also began working as a referee mentor to advise and assist new referees throughout the season. In addition to refereeing, she plays soccer and basketball. Lauren also excels in the classroom while taking Honors and college-level courses.

In her more than 25 years as a volunteer, Patricia Monaghen has served as manager, coach, registrar and club president. Her tireless service to the North East United Soccer Club has increased the club's ability to provide financial assistance to families and obtained more practice fields for the club. She has also served as an active volunteer for US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer).

Robert Freemon is a natural born leader who carries himself with dignity and professionalism in all aspects of life. A Grade 8 referee, Freemon has refereed at the US Youth Soccer Kansas State Championships, the US Youth Soccer Region II Championships and the prestigious US Youth Soccer National Championships. His passion for the game and will to improve upon his skills helps him rise to any challenge presented on the field, gaining respect from players, coaches and fellow referees.

2009 US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer Buddy of the Year - National Winner - Lauren Lawless, Sunflower SA
Lauren Lawless, a four-year student athlete at Washburn University, has been with Topeka TOPSoccer since its inception. She leads practices for six to eight-year-olds and serves as liaison between the program and Washburn University. As liaison, she coordinated a TOPSoccer night at a Washburn University women's soccer game to honor members of TOPSoccer. Lawless is determined to see the program grow and has encouraged several college teammates to volunteer. To end the first season, she sent handwritten notes to thank players for their participation.

Scott Howard, of Topeka, Kan., coaches Under-7 and Under-8 Girls in the Sunflower Soccer Association. He believes the real winner is the one who tried their hardest, persevered and enjoyed the sport. Howard's innate optimism makes you want to be a better person after spending time with him. He is diplomatic, easygoing, sociable and peaceable. To inspire his players, he organizes a night to watch a local university soccer team play. The team gets to the field early to get first row seats and watch the team warm up and interact with the older players. Howard also serves as treasurer on the board of trustees.

Jon Freemon, from Louisburg, Kansas, not only seeks to improve himself but he also helps others. He provides positive advice to younger officials that they are able to use immediately. Jon is always the first to help when assignors get in a bind. When Jon is the center referee, he works hard and appears unruffled and competent. Jon has handled stressful situations with a sense of dignity and professionalism that is far beyond the expectations. He has an excellent knowledge of the Laws of the Game and their application during match situations.
