Nominees may be selected in four (4) categories:
Founder: This recognition must be for an individual who made his/her mark in soccer in a non-playing capacity and had a major, sustained and positive impact on Kansas soccer. This category includes owners, administrators, coaches and referees. Candidates must be at least 50 years of age (posthumous candidates are an exception) and deemed to have contributed at the requisite level for a minimum of six (6) years.
Lifetime Achievement: Nominee must have been a member for not less than ten (10) years of an organized soccer program, or programs, whose institutional and program base is, or was, in the state of Kansas. A posthumous nomination need not meet this requirement.
Outstanding Achievement: Nominee must have been a member of an organized soccer program whose institutional aims and program base is, or was, in the state of Kansas. A relevancy between the achievement being recognized and participation in a Kansas-based soccer program must be demonstrated in the nomination submission.
Merit Award: This award may be presented, from time to time, by vote of the members of the Kansas Soccer Hall of Fame. This award is designed to be given to a person who does not necessarily reside within the state of Kansas but has shown exceptional dedication to the sport or to the advancement of the participants in the sport. This person would be considered an honorary member of the Kansas Soccer Hall of Fame.
