Veo

Kansas Youth Soccer Partners with Veo

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Olathe, KS (Tuesday June 2, 2020) – We are proud to announce that the Kansas State Youth Soccer Association (KSYSA) has entered into an official partnership with Danish tech company Veo, the portable and affordable solution that helps soccer teams record and analyze matches and training sessions without the need for a camera operator. The camera has two 4K lenses to capture the entire pitch and AI powered software automatically detects the ball and creates a broadcast experience of your matches.

The Veo software provides coaches, players and parents the ability to clip highlights, draw on the screen and even player directed highlights where users can take over the camera and direct their own highlights. With directed highlights, every single player on the pitch can be focused on.

Joe Burger, Kansas Youth Soccer Executive Director, is excited about this new partnership and the opportunities it brings to our members.  Saying, “This partnership adds a new element of video analysis services that we can provide our members involved in Kansas ODP, the coaching education pathway and our Kansas State Tournament events. The Veo system is leading the way that clubs and organizations are implementing video that is easy to use for coaches and players to analyze. This agreement will allow us to provide a substantial discount for our member clubs when purchasing the equipment for the system.  Providing access to valuable equipment and services is important to KSYSA.  I believe we have accomplished both goals with our Veo partnership.”

The partnership between KSYSA and Veo is one that should bring excitement to the clubs and coaches in the state of Kansas, giving KSYSA members the chance to take advantage of special offers from Veo. Along with this, Veo is providing KSYSA with a complimentary Veo camera and tripod to be used at state run events, coaching education and the Kansas State Cup.

Paul Fabry, Kansas Youth Soccer Director of Coaching, is looking forward to the great ways KSYSA can utilize Veo.  Saying, “The development pathways for players, coaches, referees, and clubs across Kansas is critical and video will assist them in that development.   Our coaches and players within the Kansas ODP will have the ability to breakdown the game into greater detail by using the tools and features within the VEO system to expand player vision, enhance recognition of situations, and speed up decision making within the game.

Other additional opportunities the Director of Coaching mentioned about pushing forward are:

  • The player’s abilities to create their own highlight videos for reflection and improvement along with recruitment for the next level of play,
  • Coaching Education opportunities to impact and engage members across the state for discussions on trends within games,
  • Analyze effectiveness of session topic and deliver of content,
  • Refine your coaching toolkit through greater feedback and self-reflection;
  • The KSYSA member clubs discount with a code to utilize Veo and ultimately, incorporate user-friendly technology and video into their player and coach development process in tremendous ways.

Overall Paul said, “Veo technology allows for more layers of the game to come together with greater ease, and I am excited about how it can positively impact soccer in Kansas.”

Ultimately, the goal for the partnership is for KSYSA and its members to use Video technology for coaching and player development. Players are visual learners, watching the game back or seeing themselves over and over again will only help in their long term development. Capturing film that coaches and players can view, edit and analyze.

Lee Hudson, USA Market Manager for Veo says, “Kansas is an incredible state for soccer and I’m thrilled to have Kansas Youth Soccer as an official partner of Veo. Home to the US Soccer National Development Center along with Sporting Kansas City.  Kansas truly is at the forefront of youth development here in the US.  Veo is proud to work alongside KSYSA, offering the ability to capture games, practice and coaching education with ease.”
